The barcoding protocol within Clavibacter

The genus Clavibacter currently contains ten species.  For the identification of the quarantine species C. michiganensis, C. insidiosus and C. sepedonicus, a partial sequence of the Gyrase B gene (GyrB) of approximately 590 bp is amplified using GyrB primers (Richert et al., 2005) with a M13-tag and sequenced using M13 primers.

The protocol for the conventional PCR gyrB for Clavibacter species is available in the annex 2, section 2.3 of PM 7/129.
