The barcoding protocol for Erwinia amylovora
After 16S rDNA-based identification of the Erwinia bacterial genus according to PM 7/129, the barcodes of recA or gyrB can be used to identify Erwinia amylovora (see also the molecular decision scheme).
The protocol for the conventional PCR 16S rDNA for bacteria is available in the annex 2, section 2.2 of PM 7/129.
As the protocols for recA and gyrB are not yet included in PM 7/129 they are presented below.
